Tri an Mhí Sprint Triathlon

 Lough Lene, Collinstown, Co. Westmeath.

Race Location 

The race takes place at Lough Lene, Collinstown, Co. Westmeath

From Dublin take M3 to jctn 9, north Navan and take N51 to Athboy, Delvin, Collinstown. Right in Collinstown 2 km to lake

From Galway take M6 to Mullingar (jctn 4). Stay on N52 to Delvin, then Collinstown

From Belfast take M1 to Ardee and follow N52 through Kells to Delvin, Collinstown




The swim will take place in Lough Lene famous for its gin clear water. It willl consist of one 750M clockwise lap marked by large bouys. Competitors will enter the lake at the jetty where they will be counted in and exit to transition at the slipway where they will be counted out. There will be plenty of kayak and lifeguard cover to guide swimmers and ensure their safety.




The cycle route is a 20km loop. It takes place on open roads so the Rules of the Road apply. The route leaves transition with the lake on your left and heads towards Fore. In Fore cyclists will turn right. The next junction (Oldcastle-Castlepollard road) they will turn left to Castlepollard, 2 left turns in Castlepollard will bring them onto the Collinstown road. In Collinstown turn left and 1km later turn left to the lake and transition.

The run will be an out and back route on roads.
There will be a water station at 1 km and 4 km.
